About Me

My photo
Atlanta, Georgia, United States
She slid onto the swing dance floor wearing a burnt yellow and brown snowsuit from the 1990s, helmet, ski goggles, and socks. Oblivious to the excess pant legs under her feet, she grabbed a goofy dancer and flew into a jitterbug while the sister she had only met 4 times in her life took blurry pictures with an old iPhone. Dancing in a new city 1400 miles from home, borrowing snowsuits from strangers, long-lost sister taking weird photos of you and going skiing for a week - who contains that kind of excitement? Not me!

Videos

Originally made for the Calm-A-Sutra Tea Scholarship competition, which wanted videos that showed the health benefits of tea and creative ways to drink it.

A goofy video I made for the lab I was working in. We used this scanner to create 3D models for our virtual reality cube. I hear they still show it to all the newcomers to the lab.

2 minute documentary:

Youthbuild: Constructing Opportunity in Birmingham's Communities by Trae Crain and Erin Hennessy from Digital Community Studies on Vimeo.

Short documentary I made with another classmate in under 3 months about visually impaired athletes playing Goalball.

Invisible Goals by Erin Hennessy and Alex Lanier from Digital Community Studies on Vimeo.

Music video I made one night when my sister needed cheering up. I used the random footage I took while visiting her in Germany.

A 5 minute sweded version of Dukes of Hazzard I made for a museum exhibit:

Here we have a music video I made for a class project. The description of the requirements is on the Youtube page.

Not Shown:

"Online Gaming Addiction PSA" - 30-Second Public Service Announcement made for the class "Public Service and Media"

"Thank You, Joan!" - 15 minute video of students and parents at a private school created for the founder of the school.

"Ghetto Love" - Web episode from the series "Uncensored Mommy" that I edited

"AT&T Mechanics" - Video for a MOFILM competition I edited

"Swordfish: Underwater Hockey Documentary" - Short documentary about Georgia Tech's underwater hockey team. I filmed most of the footage, participated in the hockey practice to get insider knowledge on the topic, and edited

"Drunk Frankenstein" - A knock-off of "Drunk History" for a class project. I interviewed a student about his vast knowledge of the novel Frankenstein, then filmed students re-enacting the scenes, complete with lip-syncing quotes.

Research interviews - I made a few short videos about research being done at Georgia Tech.

Insurance education - I spent the summer of 2013 working for Protective Life making entertaining videos aimed at educating employees about the user experience of various life insurance products.
